Automatic disinfection of wet rooms in patient rooms.

Several studies have shown that wet rooms in patient rooms are very critical in regards to hospital infections

Pathogens such as SARS, corona viruses and now also EBOLA were previously only known to experts. Nowadays you can find almost daily reports in the newspapers and media about outbreaks of dangerous diseases like SARS, Corona or EBOLA. Health authorities, doctors and hygienists are increasingly confronted with this topic.

In everyday hospital operations, however, doctors and hygienists fight against completely different dangerous hospital germs such as the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus, which is also called methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) due to its resistance to common antibiotics. Enterobacteria, enterococci and the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa are other dangerous hospital germs. Noroviruses are also a constant danger in sanitary facilities in hospitals.

So far, attempts have been made to control the microorganisms with chemical wipe cleaning. However, wiping is carried out at most once a day, and there is also less than 5 minutes calculated to clean one wet room.

The UV-C radiation disinfects the room air and the illuminated surfaces directly and a germ reduction of up to 3 log levels is obtained. The dangerous hospital germs Staphylococcus aureus, the enterobacteria, the enterococci, etc. can be sterilized with UVC light up to 99.9%and in a very short time and without great effort.

In addition, odors in the wet room are eliminated by the ozone, which is generated from the atmospheric oxygen by the ozone lamp.

The entire disinfection process takes place fully automatically after each visit to the toilet, so that a constant disinfection is guaranteed and the bacterial load on the surfaces goes to zero.

The device is made of high quality stainless steel and is very easy to install. Retrofitting wet rooms with the CleanO3mat is also possible without much effort.
